Recall the Choir Competition...

Subtitle: Blame the Audience!

Wonder why Junior Middle 3 Zhong, the known "1st class of Junior Middle", lost the choir competition to a bunch of
*put anything here* Yeah, after the competition many ppl wonder why our class lost miserably, mostly JM3Xiao, the first runner-up. Even the teachers from other classes comments on our class' performance.

Normally, I should not speak about this stuff since it is been a long time from the competition. Nobody wants to remind him/herself of this sad past... due to a "technical failure", our class is DISQUALIFIED! You hear me??!?! DISQUALIFIED! Dammit!

Ahhhh... feeling better now, wonder why I wrote this message... maybe the tension for the choir exam next Sat. is getting closer.

Anyway, back to the main topic, the "technical failure" is nothing more than "not connecting the two songs", yeah sure, like it's our fault. The audience keep on clapping hands after we finish Candlelight Carol and when Wei Yi is about to start OH When the Saints Go Marching In the stupid audience keep on clapping their stupid hands non-stop!

After I asked my relative (who is a choir judge) he said

"Joining two songs is important, especially when the rules say so. When the announcer announces that your team is supposed to sing two songs, when you finish the first one NOBODY is supposed to clap their hands, (if you do so in a real opera/choir fest, you will be kicked out of the concert, no kidding), this is a basic in a choir concert, or probably the students at your school don't know that but well..."

And this jogged up my memory of what the announcer said:
"现在轮到初三忠(ppl begins clapping)表演了,他们所合唱的歌曲是Candlelight Carol (shouting and clapping and etc.) 和 When The Saints Go Marching In" (almost the whole audience is shouting, this shouldn't happen in a real choir concert, it should be clapping, nothing more, nothing less)

So... the announcer DID mentioned TWO songs, did he/she? So... we can make a conclusion that losing in this competition is NOT our fault or whatever stupid technical failure. It is the audience's fault! Thanks to their "huge" welcome, we lost the competition. This does not apply to JM3Xiao and JM3Ren since both of them sung I will Follow You and Take These Wings respectively.

To be continued... if I have the time to do so.

Music --Period-- Period

Finally a day which I can talk about something from school.
Today music class... teacher helps us to revise past songs,
and I don't even know whether I have a group or not.

Normally, Yin Tack should have formed a group but he disbanded it because "2 many boyz~" (I almost wanna smack him on the spot) And now I'm stuck with 3 girls and Wei Jian. Our group does not even have an idea on what song to sing.

To me, I'm confident in:
1, 梦田
2,Beautiful Dreamer
3, 年轻人的心声
4,请相信我
5, 珍重再见

The others I give up, either tones suck or lyrics hard to memorize.
Wonder what the other groups are thinking...

I only know that WeiYi's group has a 90% chance of singing 梦田, with his ex-high-pitched voice, I'm sure his group could pull it through (not insult), then the others are mostly spread out but I'm astonished since nobody is singing 红豆词, probably it's soooooo hard and it's beat is hard to match. (or should I say off-beat?)

My, my, let's see what Monday got in store for me.

Aegisub

Does any one of you uses Aegisub?
I personally say that it is one of the best subbing software I had ever encountered.
After all it helped me in karaoke-ing some of my favorite songs from animes~

But I am still a newbie in the software.
I need to go check YouTube to find tutorials to see how to make karaoke effects.
The choices are limited since most Fansubbing groups classifies their karaoke scripts.
I can only make the basic effects like those mentioned in the tutorial (expand, dissolve) while I still cannot find out how to do the others since they require "pro" programming language.

I still need help on special effects~ somebody teach me please~

But still, Aegisub rocks!

Here are some of my work, compared to the fansubbing groups.

(From top to bottom) My personal subbing, subbing by 3G-wpp. subbing by Ryuu-Rogue

And in case you're just wondering, this is Digimon Adventure's Opening theme: Butter-Fly by Kouji Wada, my favorite Japanese pop/anime theme songs singer~ Check it out on Youtube

P.S: The translation is different between different fansubbing groups, hehe~
